I love the excitement on a child’s face and the sparkle in their eyes at the moment of a discovery. It was amazing to watch all of the sweet little kiddos share in the joy of Nathan and Joshua’s birthday. I have known most of these children since they were babies, and they have all become such cool kids with their own unique personalities! Both of my boys love science and are always begging to do some sort of ‘speriment (as Josh puts it!), so the ”mad scientist” theme was a natural fit. I could not have pulled it off without the dedicated help of my family, who helped pull all of the last minute details together.
Shout outs to Melanie Crownover for the adorable invites, My Grafico for the awesome printables, Lake Charles Manufacturing for the science supplies, Hancock Fabrics for the photo booth background, and untold number of trips to Hobby Lobby and Michaels. Also, a special thanks to my sister Sarah for the fantastic “egg-speriment” and the lovely cupcakes. Thank you…THANK YOU to my Aunt Karen for the slime experiment, which left surprisingly little mess to clean up. Mom did the CUTE dirty dessert in the flower pot, and we were blessed beyond belief to have my Grandpa Culler lead several experiments and head up the home-made ice cream campaign. Oh, ….. and to my dashing husband Paul for the chalk board art (a talent that is just now expressing itself!) and for being point man on the diet-coke and mentos gysers.

This has to earn you coolest mom of the year of the award. What a cool party! Am I too old to throw a party like this for my friends?
Thank you! It was a blast…and in my opinion you are never too old for this kind of craziness. XO
