The final 15 – (can’t live without beauty products) have all been revealed! Why 15? Honestly, a top ten list is rather generic and 5×3 worked really well for my layout if you need the honest truth. My motivation for this post is the massive drawer filled with products that I have never used, used once or refuse to throw away because I spent WAY too much on them. Ladies…you know what I am talking about! I wanted to share my list of tried and true beauty products that I can not part with, and if you came to my house right now all of them could be found sitting on my vanity counter. (Just ask Paul! The sweet man cannot quite understand the reason for the clutter. Mr. hair gel, shaving cream and deodorant…oh, yes! and a toothbrush!!) This post does not have to be all about me…please feel free to leave your comments and suggestions.
). Aveda Hand Relief – La…la…LOVE it! Not only is it the best lotion ever invented it smells amazing!!
). Mary Kay Facial Highlighting Pen – I have always been self-conscious of dark circles under my eyes. (My biggest pet peeve is when someone flippantly mentions feigned concern “you look tired.” Well, I may or may not be tired, but now I feel as terrible as I apparently look!) This stuff is magic…try it!!
). Beautiful *Sheer* – (be sure it is the sheer or you will smell like an old lady!) It is pink, pretty and smells lovely…enough said.
). Aveda Smooth Infusion – In all honesty, I could have made my top favs list from all Aveda products. As a girl with naturally curly hair, this stuff lets me go straight without worrying about frizz due to humidity. Thank you Aveda.
). Chi – This is the trusty sidekick in the fight against frizz!
). Davines Glam Power Spray – I HATE hairspray! However, it is often one of the necessary evils of womanhood. This spray is light and frankly, it is fantastic.
). Sally Hansen Insta-dri – In my perfect world there would be plenty of time for my hot pink toe-nails to dry, but there is not! And nothing makes me crazier than taking the time to paint my nails only to have them ruined five minutes later because I was too impatient to sit still. Insta-dri is one coat and dries in 90 seconds! Yea for pink toes!!!
). Ped Egg – I have always been skeptical of “As seen on TV” adds, but this one works. If I could make the time to have a pedicure once a week…life would be amazing! But, for all of the times between my bi-annual pedicures this seems to get the job done.
). Ole Henriksen ultimate lift eye gel – This is an all-natural eye treatment that is reportedly “botox in a jar.” Since I am only 29….I am taking preventative measures!
). Revlon Color Burst – (Megan’s Fav) Megan made a couple contributions to the list, and staying with the lip theme this lip gloss is one of her “go-to” products. A great alternative to all of the lip glosses that glue your lips together…well at least they are shiny.
). Burt’s Bees replenishing lip balm – One of my favs! Love it!! I usually buy the three pack at Target!
). Victoria Secret Bomb Shell – (Megan’s Fav) This body spray…AWESOME.
). Lubriderm Advanced Therapy for Extra Dry Skin – I have tried so many different lotions, and have a million half used bottles sitting around. From now on this is the only one I will buy! It is thick, but not oily and greasy.
). Clinique take the day off – It works, and I have never used anything else.
). Bath & Body Works Stress Relief Body Lotion – Inhale…1 – 2 – 3 – sigh!! I love the fresh smell of this lotion, and it comes in a linen spray too!
Have a wonderful summer~
Amy
