I always have a bit of an adrenaline high as I am preparing to shoot a wedding. Generally, I have the opportunity to develop a friendship with the bride and groom before the wedding which is an advantage when working together to create relaxed and natural photographs. However, I was a bit nervous heading into Saturday’s wedding. Due to distance and circumstances I had not met with Julia and Scott before the wedding, so I felt like a jittery high school girl going on a blind date. Of course I had nothing to worry about! I loved them both the minute I met them I knew the day would be fabulous. The wedding was quintessentially Kentucky. The ceremony and reception were held at the groom’s family farm in Paris…Kentucky and it was fantastic to be able to capture images that incorporated the rolling hills, and horse country that are so iconic of the bluegrass. I really don’t need to say any more I think that the pictures will tell the entire story. (Just a thought…note the difference between the shot of the bride getting ready and the groom getting ready!)
Best wishes!
Amy
